||
|
On Tuesday 26th May 2026 PS Jennings and PS Love were on foot patrol in the West Ealing area near to Leeland Terrace and Maitland Yard in response to the issue of Anti-Social Behaviour and Drug taking. PS Jennings and PS Love were searching the area around Maitland Yard when PS Jennings opened the door to a bin storage area that is at the rear of The British Heart Foundation. This bin storage shed is know by officers as being a place where drug use takes place. This area is searched very often by officers due to this issue. As PS Jennings opened the door to the bin shed he immediately saw a female crouching down looking at something on the floor. As he suspected that she may be in possession of drugs he took hold of the females arms and she was detained for a search under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act. During the search a wrap of Heroin was found on the floor where the female had been standing. The female gave her details and a check on the Police National Computer revealed that she was in breach of her Community Protection Notice which prevents her from being in possession of Drug Paraphernalia and from being within the area of West Ealing where she was found. Due to this PS Jennings arrested the female for Possession of a Class A Drug and Breach of a Community Protection Notice. The female was taken to Acton Police Station and she was bailed to appear at Ealing Magistrates Court.
